Privacy Policy

The controller of personal data processed by Calkoo is OÜ Trinity Capital, Tallinn, Estonia. You can contact us about privacy questions or rights requests through our contact form.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Depending on how you use the website, we may process the following information:

• Calculator inputs and results: values you type into calculators and the resulting outputs. Many calculations are designed only to produce the result shown to you and are not intended to be stored as user records. Depending on the calculator and the way the page is requested, inputs may be processed in your browser, transmitted to our server, or appear in request URLs or technical logs.
• Contact information: details you send through the contact form, such as your email address, message content, and related metadata.
• Technical logs: IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser and device information, referrer, language, error information, and similar server-log data.
• Cookies and identifiers: cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, analytics identifiers, consent choices, and similar technologies where they are used.
• Usage and advertising data: approximate location, page views, interactions, ad impressions, ad clicks, and aggregated or inferred audience information provided by analytics or advertising partners.

Some calculators relate to health, pregnancy, body weight, alcohol, finance, wages, taxes, legal deadlines, engineering, construction, education, or other important topics. We do not ask you to identify yourself when using calculators, and calculator inputs are not intended to create user profiles. However, if you enter information that identifies you or another person, that information may be personal data and may in some cases be sensitive personal data.

Do not enter personal data about another person unless you have the right to do so. Do not use Calkoo for emergency, medical, legal, tax, investment, safety-critical, or regulated decisions without independent professional verification.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Providing the website and calculators: performance of a contract or our legitimate interests in making the website available and responding to your requests.
• Security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and server logs: our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website, and legal obligations where applicable.
• Contact-form messages: your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to you, or legal obligations depending on the nature of the message.
• Analytics: consent where required by ePrivacy or data-protection law. For strictly necessary or privacy-preserving measurement that does not require consent, we may rely on legitimate interests where permitted.
• Advertising, ad measurement, personalization, and social-media plugins: consent where required. In some jurisdictions these activities may also be treated as targeted advertising or "sharing" of personal information.
• Legal compliance and claims: legal obligations and legitimate interests in establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

Cookies are small files or identifiers stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and advertising identifiers.

Strictly necessary technologies may be used to provide the website, remember privacy choices, protect security, or load pages correctly. Analytics, advertising, ad personalization, measurement, and social-media tracking technologies should be used only after valid consent where EU, UK, EEA, or other applicable law requires consent. You should be able to refuse or withdraw consent as easily as you give it.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions.

Calkoo may use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve the service. We may use Google AdSense or other Google advertising services to show ads and measure ad performance. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, personalize, and measure ads depending on your settings, consent choices, and applicable law.

Calkoo pages may also include Facebook or other social-media features. If these features are loaded, the provider may receive information about your browser, device, IP address, the page you visited, and your interaction with the feature.

You can learn more from Google's privacy and advertising information at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Facebook's privacy information is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

We may share information with:

• hosting, infrastructure, security, maintenance, and support providers;
• analytics, advertising, consent-management, and social-media providers;
• professional advisers, authorities, courts, or regulators where required or permitted by law;
• a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of website assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising and analytics technologies may, however, be considered "sharing", "targeted advertising", or a "sale" under some US state privacy laws if those laws apply to Calkoo.

We are based in Estonia. Some service providers, including analytics, advertising, hosting, or social-media providers, may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, provider transfer safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

Calculator inputs are not intended to be stored as user records. Technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and legal purposes, typically up to 12 months unless a longer period is needed for a specific incident or legal requirement. Contact-form messages are generally kept for up to two years unless a longer period is needed to handle the request, maintain records, or protect legal interests.

Analytics and advertising providers may retain data according to their own settings and policies.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data; request data portability; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

If the GDPR applies, you may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or with the supervisory authority in your EU or EEA country of residence, workplace, or alleged infringement.

If a US state privacy law applies, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of the sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling uses of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.

To exercise rights, contact us through the contact form. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request.

Calkoo does not sell personal information for money. If applicable US state privacy laws treat our advertising or analytics technologies as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will provide the required opt-out mechanism and honor legally required opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where technically feasible and legally required.

Calkoo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country, use the website only with involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Calculators produce outputs from user inputs and formulas. Calkoo does not use those calculator outputs to make legal or similarly significant automated decisions about you. Advertising and analytics providers may use their own profiling or audience technologies as described in their policies and your consent choices.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website, network, browser, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Calkoo may link to third-party websites, calculators, advertisements, or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page applies from the "Last updated" date below. Material changes apply prospectively unless the law permits otherwise.
