Pregnancy Calculator FAQ
How does this pregnancy calculator work?
It estimates pregnancy dates from one of three starting points: LMP, conception date, or due date. From that starting point, it calculates your estimated due date, current pregnancy week, trimester, weeks-to-months progress, and a week-by-week timeline.
How do I calculate my due date from LMP?
A common estimate is due date = LMP + 280 days, which is the same as 40 weeks. This calculator uses that standard approach when you choose the LMP option, which is why it is useful as a pregnancy calculator by LMP.
How do I find how many weeks pregnant I am?
Enter your LMP, conception date, or due date, then use the current or selected date in the pregnancy week section. The calculator will show completed weeks, additional days, your approximate pregnancy month, and your current trimester.
Can I calculate pregnancy from conception date?
Yes. If you know the conception date, choose that option and the calculator will estimate the due date, current pregnancy week, and the matching pregnancy timeline from it.
Can I calculate backward from a due date?
Yes. Choose the due date option to estimate the corresponding pregnancy timeline in reverse, including the approximate LMP, gestational age, and trimester dates for the selected date.
How accurate is a pregnancy due date calculator?
It provides an estimate, not a diagnosis. Real pregnancy timing can differ because of cycle length, ovulation timing, implantation, and individual variation. Clinical dating is often refined with ultrasound and medical advice, especially if cycle timing is uncertain.
What milestones does the calculator show?
It shows estimated dates for a pregnancy test, heartbeat, trimester changes, quickening, viability, and later pregnancy stages, alongside a week-by-week pregnancy schedule. These are general timeline markers and can vary from person to person.
Can this calculator convert pregnancy weeks to months and trimesters?
Yes. The results show pregnancy progress in weeks, days, and approximate months, and also identify whether you are in the first, second, or third trimester.
