» Distance Time Speed Calculator

Distance Time Speed Calculator: calculate speed, distance, or travel time when two values are known.

Use this speed, distance and time calculator to quickly calculate speed, distance, or travel time when you know any two values. Enter your data to find the missing value instantly, whether you need an average speed calculator, a travel time calculator, or a distance calculator.

The calculator uses the standard formulas v = s / t, s = v × t, and t = s / v. You can enter time in hours, minutes, and seconds, switch between units, and even estimate arrival time based on a start time.

Example: if you travel 100 km in 1 h 15 min, your average speed is 80 km/h. This helps you quickly calculate speed from distance and time or estimate travel duration for any trip.

Time, speed and distance formulas

$$v=\frac{s}{t}$$

Speed, Distance and Time Calculator FAQs

What is the speed, distance and time formula?
The main formulas are v = s / t, s = v x t, and t = s / v, where v is speed, s is distance, and t is time.

How do I calculate average speed?
Divide the total distance by the total time using v = s / t. For example, if you travel 150 km in 2 h, the average speed is 75 km/h.

How do I calculate distance from speed and time?
Multiply speed by time using s = v x t. If speed is 80 km/h and time is 3 h, then the distance is 240 km.

How do I calculate travel time from distance and speed?
Divide distance by speed using t = s / v. If the distance is 120 km and the speed is 60 km/h, the travel time is 2 h.

Can I enter only minutes or only seconds?
Yes. You do not need to fill all three time fields. For example, you can enter 45 only in minutes or 30 only in seconds, and the calculator will still use the correct total time.

Can this calculator estimate arrival time?
Yes. If you enter a Start time, the calculator can estimate the arrival time from the computed travel time. You can also enter the arrival time and let it work backwards to the start time.

What units should I use for speed, distance and time?
Use matching units. Common examples are km/h with km and hours, or m/s with m and seconds. This calculator converts the selected units automatically.

Example: what is the travel time for 180 km at 90 km/h?
Use t = s / v. With s = 180 km and v = 90 km/h, the result is 2 h.
